Indra Che Muda, MySC grew up learning about cameras and photography through his father who was a photojournalist for Utusan Melayu and even was an advisor on film sets on photojournalist protocols.
In 1979, Indra followed in his father’s footsteps and started working as a photojournalist in Malaysia as well as a several Asian countries. He was a photojournalist for 10 years and this eventually led him to working as an Assistant Cameraman in the local film industry. Besides local films, Indra also works on international productions shooting in Malaysia including the critically acclaimed film “Anna & the King” (starring Jodie Foster) as a 1st AC for the 2nd Unit.

Indra’s passion always lay behind the camera and as his skills and experience grew, he eventually realizes his dream of being a cinematographer. Since then, he has worked on more than 50 feature films, documentaries, short films and numerous tv commercials. Indra has been nominated and won several awards for Best Cinematography in feature films and tv dramas.

Indra is an accredited member of the Malaysian Society of Cinematographers (MySC) and served as Vice President for the society from 2015 to 2018. He is currently a board member of the MySC.
